Acrylic Enclosure Care Guidelines
* Cleaning: Wash only with warm water and a soft microfiber cloth. Never use alcohol, Windex, ammonia, or harsh chemical cleaners, as they will cause permanent acrylic crazing (micro-cracks and clouding).
* Substrate & Moisture: Acrylic holds humidity exceptionally well. Spray lightly near the cross-ventilation holes to promote air movement and prevent waterlogging the bottom substrate.
* Substrate Depth: Fill substrate up to 2–3 inches to leave adequate vertical headroom for terrestrial species while giving fossorial or burrowing species room to anchor.
* Lid Clearance: Keep webbing, decorations, and moss away from the magnetic contact points along the rim to ensure a flush, escape-proof seal.
* Heat Source Warning: Never attach heat mats directly to acrylic panels or place high-wattage heat lamps on top, as acrylic will warp or melt. Use ambient room heating instead.
